RACGP QI&CPD points for GP Trainers

This information is applicable to the RACGP QI&CPD 2011-2013 Triennium

Some general practice training related activities are suitable for GP Trainers/Supervisors to apply for RACGP QI&CPD points. There are two types of activities for which GP Trainers/Supervisors are able to apply for points:

  • Attendance at CSQTC's two day GP Trainer Workshops.  CSQTC is an accredited provider with the RACGP for the 2011-2013 triennium and our two-day residential GP Trainer workshops will be structured as Active Learning Modules to each attract 40 category 1 points. These two day workshops are usually reserved for GP Trainers/Supervisors from CSQTC's Level 1 Training Practices (ie. for those GP Trainers/Supervisors who are accredited at RACGP Level 1).  At the end of each year, CSQTC supplies the RACGP with a list of Trainers who have attended our accredited Workshops in order for points to be added to their credit point statements.
  • Supervision of GP Registrars/PGPPP Doctors. GP Trainers/Supervisors are also able to apply for QI&CPD points for Supervision of GP Registrars and PGPPP doctors. GPs can claim 40 Category 1 points and can only lodge one application per triennium. These activities are Active Learning Modules (ALMs) and GPs must complete and submit an individual ALM application form. The 'Individual GP Active Learning Module - Supervision of GP Registrars/ PGPPP' form is available on the QI&CPD website. GP Trainers/Supervisors will need to visit the website and log in, in order to obtain the form.  All levels of GP Supervisors are eligible to apply for QI&CPD points for this activity.
