Hospital year requirements

Four post-intern hospital units (ie. 52 weeks) must be completed during training in disciplines defined as relevant to General Practice.

The exception to this is where a GP Registrar applies for and is granted Recognition of Prior Learning with or without time credit for hospital experience gained prior to joining the program.

Compulsory requirements and activities for hospital based GP Registrars:

• Mandatory Terms and Rotations
• Mandatory Paediatric Experience
• Training Adviser Meetings
• Learning Plans

GP Registrars will also be expected to be involved in self-directed learning and educational activities.
