Arranging GP placements
The method used for arranging placements in a general practice setting (FRACGP - GPT 1, GPT2, GPT3; FACRRM - PRRT1, PRRT2, PRRT3, PRRT4) will depend upon which stage of training the GP Registrar is in. For GP Registrars
- Months 1-12 (full time equivalent) in a general practice setting (FRACGP - GPT1 & GPT2; FACRRM - PRRT1 & PRRT2) are organised through CSQTC via the formal Matching and Allocation Process (MAP) and are generally only undertaken in Level 1 Training Practices.
- Months 13 onwards (full time equivalent) (FRACGP - GPT3 and Extended Skills done in a general practice setting; FACRRM - PRRT3, PRRT4) are organised by the GP Registrar applying directly to Practices, and can be done in Level 1 or 2 Training Practices.
GP Registrars currently enrolled with CSQTC who wish to find out more about how to arrange their general practice placements for a specific stage of training, please see the Quick Links section, where you will find links to speedy information that will assist you with your current needs.
GP Registrars who will be commencing the AGPT with CSQTC for next year's intake and who wish to commence GP Terms at any stage during their first year of training should read about Eligibility Requirements and arranging GP placements in the first 12 months in GP and follow all the links in the Quick Links sections.
