Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) - FAQsWhen can I submit my application for RPL?
If you are applying for RPL you must submit your application before the end of your first year in the training program.
How do I prepare my application for RPL?
Once you have accepted a place with CSQTC and, in discussion with CSQTC, have decided that you will be applying for RPL you should do the following things:
- Download the forms and information from the CSQTC website.
- Begin collating and collecting required assessment reports, referees etc.
- Arrange, at least by the middle of your first year of training, to have met with a CSQTC Training Adviser to specifically discuss your application for RPL.
- Submit a complete application by the due date.
If you are a GP Registrar with CSQTC then your RPL application must be submitted to us.
Who approves applications for RPL?
Applications for RPL will be reviewed by Medical Educators at CSQTC and complete applications will be submitted to the RACGP and/or ACRRM Censors for consideration. The final decision on whether RPL is granted or not will be made by the relevant College Censor.
When will I know the decision regarding my RPL application?
Complete RPL applications will be processed and the GP Registrar notified of a decision within 3 months of a completed application being submitted to CSQTC.
Where can I find more information about RPL?
