Going Places Event - Logan Hospital/ADF Event

On Thursday 27 October 2011, the Going Places Network co-hosted a promotional event with ADF recruitment thanks to the generosity of the Logan Hospital.

The event was held in the Staff BBQ and dining area. The entire staff at Logan Hospital were invited to a lunch time BBQ hosted by the Going Places Network, supported by RTP’s, Health Workforce Qld and the ADF.

The ADF bought along a fully staffed Regimental Aid Post and Bush Ambulance. Medical staff were able to satisfy their appetites as well as their medical curiosities. Our guests had the opportunity to explore the many facets and opportunities of a medical career including General Practice with the ADF along with discovering just how high the climb up into the bush ambulance was! A fun and informative time was had by all.

CSQTC attended the event and whilst a fair number of the attendees were not doctors or medical students, we were still kept busy with talking to many about the options and intricacies of GP training.

We also engaged the services of a photographer to capture some of the images from the day.

The wonderful ADF Personnel with staff from the Going Places Network, CSQTC, QRME, and HWQ.

There was a constant stream of Hospital staff coming with the Trade Display.
