Strategically Important Information from the Chief Executive Officer CSQTC’s Response to National Initiatives for Collaborative Arrangements, Including a Reduction in the Number of Regional Training Providers Across Australia During the course of this year, and particularly since the Commonwealth Government’s May 2009 Budget, Regional Training Providers have been addressing Commonwealth Government and GPET expectations for enhanced collaborative arrangements among RTPs, including a reduction in the total number of RTPs. I am writing to update you on the current strategic approach being taken by the CSQTC Board. Please go to the Latest News section of the CSQTC website and click on the item 'Collaborations considering mergers of RTPs' for information about this and an invitation for our stakeholders to provide comments and suggestions. GP Registrars Preparing for the RACGP Clinical Examination Fourteen GP Registrars who are preparing to sit the RACGP's 2009.2 OSCE attended CSQTC's Clinical Exam Support Workshop on the evening of 19 August 2009. A new format was used for this workshop and our supervising Medical Educator, Dr Peter McKain, reported that he was very pleased with how the new workshop ran. The role plays were challenging and stimulating and we hope that the workshop served to calm some pre-exam nerves. Overall, it was a great night. Best wishes for everyone with their focused study and preparation, and good luck on the day!
